MY FIRST PHENOMENAL DREAM EXPERIENCE …

Growing up, I didn't think too much about my dreams. Sure, I had nightmares as a child, just like you remember having. Whenever I would have one of those horrifying "monster" or "boogey-man" dreams, I would race into my Mom and Dad's bedroom, crying and sobbing frantically, my heart racing. They seemed so real!! My mother would comfort me by saying "Oh honey, it wasn't real ... it was only a dream".

After many years of believing that dreams were not real, they weren't significant, and they were just garbled information being thrown off from the brain, I had an experience in the dreamstate that opened my mind to new possibilities. The experience I am about to share with you was the catalyst for the spiritual journey I now travel.

In 1982, my life took a tragic turn when my husband, David, was brutally murdered. My four-year-old daughter and I were totally devastated. Three weeks after his death, and amidst handling all the immediate and necessary arrangements that widows must deal with, I had a dream unlike any other dream I had ever had. In the dream, David appeared by my bedside. My mind reeled with confusion. My emotions traveled from one extreme to the other -- from joy of being able to see and talk to him again, to the anger of realizing that he had been taken from me for the rest of my life. My perception of reality was being seriously questioned. During our conversation, I insisted that he explain to me how he could exist before my very eyes when I knew he was in fact dead. He said that he had to go to school, that he had alot to learn and that he would be very busy at this new school. He went on to say that he would not be able to come back until he had completed his learning. I had no idea what he meant by that. He assured me that he was very happy and that I too should be happy. He encouraged me to get on with my life. We shared loving embraces and good-byes.

This dream was unlike any other dream I had ever had ever experienced. It was real, it was very real. I knew that he had visited me and that obviously he still existed on some other plane of existence. But where was this other plane? It was at this time that I began to wonder and question what the after-life was all about. I began to consider that where we go when we sleep and dream is the same place we travel to when we die. Could it be that the "other side", the "after-life" exists within the dreamstate? And that each exist simultaneously?

This experience was just the beginning of my personal journey into the exploration of the mind. Dreams have become a constant companion for me, a very important vehicle for traveling to the inner spiritual recesses of my own mind. Studying and teaching people how to explore the inner levels of consciousness has been my life's work for sixteen years now. Through extensive research and exploration, it is my firm belief that dreams provide the most available access to the inner depths of the Soul, the subconscious mind. Truly, dreams are the portal to the inner levels of consciousness. Go back to Dreams.
